Beatriz Martín Herreros

Beatriz Martín Herreros obtained her degree in Biology (Universitat de València) in 2017. In order to improve her knowledge, she studied a Master´s Degree in Research in Molecular, Cellular and Genetics Biology. Her first approach to haematology was during her internship in the Flow Cytometry Laboratory of the Haematology Department in the Hospital Universitario y Politécnico La Fe. She learned about the principles of flow cytometry and its clinical and translational application to the field of haematology. Moreover, she obtained a grant of the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer (AECC) which allowed her to repeat a summer fellowship at the same laboratory. She studied bone marrow samples from patients without neoplastic alterations and patients with myelodysplastic syndrome by flow cytometry. Nowadays, Beatriz works as a PhD student in the Research Group of Haematology (IIS La Fe) thanks to a grant of the AECC.
