Dr. Cristobal Aguilar Gallardo has extensive experience in the field of biomedical research, working in the area of cell therapy & regenerative medicine including cancer stem cell biology for over 10 years. He has published more than 25 papers in reputed journals. He works as a reviewer and member of the editorial board of different journals. His research is based on novel and fundamental approaches to specific problems in biomedicine and biotechnology. His research activities range from experimental work related to the immunotherapy approach in oncology to translational systems at various scales related to new therapeutic and diagnostic approaches in cancer. He has a degree in Biomedicine, with Master’s degree and a PhD in Biotechnology with an outstanding qualification “cum laude”; He has an H-index of 11. He has also carried out teaching and postdoctoral activities in prestigious national and international universities such as Max Planck Institute for Molecular Biomedicine and Imperial College London Science Medicine and Technology, where he participated in a program financed by the European Commission with 7.4 million euros, within the Seventh Framework Program (FP7). He holds two international patents. He has been associate professor at the University of Valencia and Lecture Assistant Imperial College London.
