
Eva Barragán González
Dr. Eva Barragán González holds a Degree in Biology and achieved her PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biomedicine at the University of Valencia, where she was awarded the annual Extraordinary PhD Award. She works as a Specialist Physician in Clinical Biochemistry at the Molecular Biology Unit of the Clinical Analysis Service at the Hospital La Fe (Valencia, Spain). Dr. Barragán is a member of the Accredited Research Group in Hematology at La Fe Research Institute and has been Vice President of the Molecular Biology Group in Hematology of the SEHH (Spanish Society of Hematology and Hemostasia). Member of technical committee for Neonatal Screening of Hemoglobinopathies in Valencian Community.
She has developed her healthcare activity at the Hospital La Fe, where she has contributed to the molecular profiling of myeloid neoplasia; this workstream aims for the improvement of diagnostic, prognostic and treatment of such diseases by means of the implementation of molecular biomarkers. Dr. Barragán has taken part in several research projects at a national and regional level and has been an invited speaker at national and international meetings. 86 publications in indexed journals, with a total of 1661 times cited, an average of 18.47citations per publication and an H index of 22
